S&P upgrades Viper Energy outlook on parent’s cash flow

A proposed US deal granting North American Blue Energy Partners a 100-year lease over 17 Venezuelan oilfields is raising concerns among major oil companies. The arrangement would give the US a 35% stake and guaranteed oil access, while NABEP’s Venezuelan owner Alejandro Betancourt’s past investigations add uncertainty for potential investors.

The government will also provide a further 5 trillion won in trade finance for suppliers, Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik told a press briefing after a meeting chaired by President Lee Jae Myung on ‌Monday.
