FSSAI recently deemed Nestle India’s low-fat dairy whitener unsafe, stating it didn’t adhere to the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006, based on lab findings. Nestle, however, maintains that its product fully complies with safety regulations, asserting the phosphorus content is naturally derived from milk and is within the permissible limits outlined by the law.
