Adani Group is set to start the redevelopment of Mumbai airport’s Terminal 1 in January, affecting significant passenger traffic. The north section of Terminal 1B will be temporarily closed to address safety concerns and increase capacity. Operations can be shifted to Navi Mumbai International Airport, which offers discounts for new international flights. Redevelopment aims to raise capacity from 15 million to 20 million passengers annually.
