IIT Madras junction experienced significant traffic changes after the introduction of a new system. Motorists from Kotturpuram must now make a U-turn beneath the Madhya Kailash flyover. Vehicles coming from Madhya Kailash can proceed towards Raj Bhavan without stopping while using a free right toward Kotturpuram. The traffic signal has been removed, which has led to smoother vehicular movement at the junction.
