Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said greater ethanol use could boost farmers’ incomes and reduce India’s dependence on petroleum imports. Launching Madhya Pradesh’s new public bus service, he also backed flex-fuel, electric and hydrogen vehicles, waste-to-fuel projects and expanded public transport, while outlining plans to increase bus manufacturing and jobs.
