Christa Pike, a Tennessee death row inmate, has returned to prison after a failed execution attempt. The September 30 incident resulted in her needing medical care after the lethal injection process failed. Governor Bill Lee has ordered a review of the state’s execution procedures following this incident. Pike had been sentenced to death for the 1995 murder of her classmate, Colleen Slemmer.
