The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) captured two suspects in Lucknow on August 7 in connection with the distribution of high-quality fake Indian currency. They confiscated 201 counterfeit Rs 500 notes during the operation. Reports suggest that the fake currency made its way into Uttar Pradesh from the India-Bangladesh border.
