Nidhi Siwach, an engineer from Haryana, cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her third attempt with AIR 83 after leaving her Design Engineer job at Tech Mahindra in 2017. Despite two earlier failures and growing family pressure to marry, she chose one final full-time preparation phase through self-study. Her success led to her joining the IAS and the Gujarat cadre. She is currently serving as Deputy Municipal Commissioner of the Surat Municipal Corporation.
