Ten students from Gordonstoun, the private boarding school attended by King Charles, have uncovered what could be a 1,000-year-old Viking church on the remote Orkney island of Swona. During a six-day archaeology trip, the pupils found what may be the foundations of a medieval altar, with radiocarbon testing expected to establish its age.
