Tamil Nadu unveils Rs 25 lakh health cover, 400-bed hospital, new cancer centres

The Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme cover has been raised to twenty-five lakh rupees. A new four-hundred-bed multispecialty hospital will be established in Perambur for north Chennai. Six thousand ninety-eight additional seats will be created in nursing and paramedical courses. The Chief Minister’s Cancer Care Mission will be upgraded with new treatment facilities. Additional medical services for transgender persons will also be provided under the scheme.
