The Supreme Court has reduced the mandatory law practice for judicial service to one year. Candidates applying until March 2027 will not need prior practice experience. Selected candidates will undergo one year of training and one year of clerkship. Those applying after April 2027 must have one year of actual law practice. High courts must amend their rules within three months for this new system.
