Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder of Bharti Airtel, will receive the Légion d’Honneur from Emmanuel Macron. This honor recognizes his contributions to India-France economic ties and telecommunications. Mittal’s long-standing relations with France began at Airtel’s inception in 1992 with Compagnie Générale des Eaux. He also serves as Co-Chairman of Eutelsat, enhancing collaborations in satellite communications. The award ceremony will take place at the French Embassy in New Delhi.
