Rs 1,10,000 crore worth of equipment cleared for procurement for the forces

The Defence Acquisition Council cleared military procurements worth one lakh ten thousand crore rupees. Nearly ninety-eight percent of this spending will benefit domestic defence manufacturers. Approvals included vehicles for the army and advanced light helicopters for two services. The navy will receive new radars and marine gas turbines for warships. The air force’s combat capabilities and secure access cards were also approved.
