Reliance Industries has proposed investing about ₹2.73 lakh crore over 30 years to develop India’s first integrated Underground Coal Gasification complex in Andhra Pradesh’s Eluru district. The project, subject to commercial viability after exploration, will use deep coal reserves in the Chintalapudi and Recherla blocks to produce syngas.
