Reddit is testing AI-generated videos that read text posts and selected comments aloud, complete with synthetic voices and karaoke-style highlighting. Live on the web now and rolling out to iOS and Android, the feature adds a Read/Play toggle on eligible posts. The trial covers a small set of English-language threads for now, with CEO Steve Huffman citing the popularity of Reddit-reading channels elsewhere online.
