Veteran actor Pradeep Ram Singh Rawat’s death in Mumbai on August 4, aged 74, following a relapse of blood cancer, has left the film industry mourning. Known for playing Ashwatthama in Mahabharat, Deva in Lagaan and the antagonist in Ghajini, Rawat worked across Hindi and South Indian cinema for four decades. Actor-producer Ranjha Vikram Singh, who shared a close bond with him, remembers their time together on Mining – Reyte Te Kabzaa. He recalls Rawat as an exceptional actor and a warm human being, while mourning the projects they had planned together.
