A handwritten letter and playful pencil drawings by Princess Elizabeth have resurfaced after decades inside a family suitcase. Rediscovered in 2024, the papers date to her childhood years at Royal Lodge and reveal her interest in horses, dogs, ponies and the people around her. Preserved by former royal housemaid Beatrice Stillman’s family, the material is now heading to auction in Kent.
