A 50-year-old Police Sub-Inspector allegedly died by suicide on Saturday morning. Amol Vithalrao Gangalwad jumped in front of a moving train near Khatkali bypass. He was reportedly dressed in his official uniform at the time of the incident. Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the matter. The exact motive behind his extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
