The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban has granted over 1.25 crore homes, with more than one crore completed to date. Notably, one crore of those houses were designated for women beneficiaries nationwide. Recently, the scheme approved an additional 2.09 lakh homes for economically weaker section families, bringing the total under PMAY-U 2.0 to over 18.38 lakh houses. The government is diligently assessing the scheme’s execution and fund use across various states.
