Rohit Gavit, son of MLA Rajendra Gavit, was arrested and remanded in police custody for four days. The number of accused in the hospital attack case has now increased to twenty-two. Police have arrested fourteen people so far in connection with the incident. The Bombay High Court had expressed displeasure over the police’s handling of the case. Several accused have sought anticipatory bail, with some applications rejected.
