Pakistan security crisis deepens: Nearly 1,000 forces killed in 9 months

Pakistan faces a severe security deterioration with over a thousand security personnel fatalities this year. More than 650 civilians have also died in violent incidents between January and September. Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are principal theatres of ongoing insurgent violence. Incidents have risen significantly since 2022, following the Taliban’s Afghanistan takeover.
