Tamil Nadu plans to establish a new international airport near Chennai to meet growing passenger and cargo demand, with alternative sites to be identified and assessed by the Airports Authority of India. The plan follows the state government’s decision to abandon the proposed Parandur airport project over environmental and livelihood concerns.

The action begins on Oct 8 with the Boys Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy, followed closely by the Women’s Under-19 T2o Trophy starting on Oct 9. The marquee Ranji Trophy gets underway on Oct 11, and the Under-23 CK Nayudu Trophy rounds out the lineup when it begins on Oct 12.

Xtranet Technologies will launch its Rs 166.8 crore IPO on July 23 at a price band of Rs 120-127 per share. The issue, comprising a fresh issue of 1.31 crore shares, will fund debt repayment, capital expenditure and working capital, with listing scheduled on July 30.
