The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the 2026-27 MBBS seat matrix, listing 1,40,664 approved seats across 839 medical colleges, excluding INIs. The matrix includes 13,636 newly increased seats. NMC has directed colleges to stick to their sanctioned intake and warned of regulatory action against institutions admitting students beyond approved capacity.
