Navy cuts Mumbai transport HQ plans from 16 storeys to four

The state government has reduced its Transport Department headquarters plan from sixteen stories. Navy height restrictions necessitated this significant reduction in the building’s proposed elevation. A new four-storey structure with a two-floor basement will now be constructed. This revised project has received administrative and financial approval for sixty-seven crore rupees. The Transport Commissioner’s office will finally have a dedicated headquarters after eighty-five years.
