Nana Patekar was seen enthusiastically participating in events in Goa just days before his death. He attended the installation ceremony of Rajshri Khandeparkar as president of Samraat Club International and spoke about serving others. Patekar shared his passion for theatre and expressed a desire to continue performing plays during his final days. He suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence and could not be revived at the hospital.
