Mike and Dana Blevins turned their 300-acre property in Missouri into a thriving habitat for white-tailed deer. After purchasing the land, they implemented habitat management practices supported by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Their efforts contributed to the significant recovery of deer populations in the region, which faced near extinction in the past. As chronic wasting disease poses new challenges, they took part in management efforts to control infections.
