Meghalaya homestay havoc: 6 UP students pay Rs 2.5 lakh for vandalism, high court quashes FIR

The Meghalaya high court quashed an FIR against six students from Uttar Pradesh. They paid Rs 2.06 lakh as compensation for vandalizing a homestay. Two students will also perform six days of community service. The court considered the students’ future and the mutual settlement reached. The FIR was registered following a complaint alleging vandalism and non-payment.
