BSP national president Mayawati has again expelled her nephew Akash Anand from the party. This development follows Mayawati stating Anand had complete freedom from the party. His father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth, also announced his retirement from politics. Siddharth denied influencing Anand or acting against the Bahujan Samaj Party’s interests. Mayawati had previously curtailed Anand’s role to that of an ordinary party worker.
