A 24-year-old data entry operator suffered severe burns after a man set her ablaze outside Ponneri government hospital. The attacker, identified as Prakash, poured petrol on the woman and ignited it as she was leaving work. Hospital staff and bystanders rushed to help, but the suspect managed to escape the scene. Police later apprehended Prakash in Tiruvallur after he attacked officers attempting his arrest.
