In a tragic incident during the Ganesh visarjan procession in Ahilyanagar, 49-year-old Deepak Wagaskar collapsed and later died. Eyewitnesses have expressed concerns that police lathi charges may have played a role in his demise. However, Superintendent of Police R. Mummaka Sudarshan refuted any link between the event and his death, noting he fell approximately 150 meters from the point of police intervention.
