Maharashtra FDA seizes unsafe dairy products, suspends 404 licences in 3-month crackdown

Maharashtra’s Food and Drug Administration seized unsafe dairy products valued at Rs 5.4 crore. The agency also suspended 404 licenses during a recent three-month enforcement drive. Inspections covered 9,485 establishments dealing with various food items across the state. Action against prohibited food articles led to 867 arrests and confiscation of contraband. The total value of seized food stock reached Rs 67.20 crore during this period.
