Lucknow Police has launched PRAMAAN, a five-member team tasked with analysing road accident data to identify crash hotspots and prevent fatalities under the Zero Fatality District programme. The team will study accident FIRs since January 2024, cross-check records with the Centre’s e-DAR/iRAD database and conduct physical inspections of high-risk locations. Its recommendations will cover measures ranging from signage and enforcement to major road engineering changes, while a real-time system will track new accidents across multiple police channels.
