CPI and CPM will contest byelections in Madurantakam and Dharapuram. They will announce candidates on September fifteenth for the upcoming polls. Their support for the TVK-led government will continue despite contesting. Contesting byelections does not threaten government stability or support DMK. Left parties remain non-aligned with any of the three major alliances.
