Karnataka ranks third in NITI Aayog’s electric mobility index, tops charging readiness

Karnataka has ranked third nationally in NITI Aayog’s India Electric Mobility Index 2025, scoring 73 and emerging as one of the country’s top-performing states on EV adoption and infrastructure. The state recorded the highest score in charging infrastructure readiness at 97, with 6,979 charging stations and nearly 15% EV penetration in the first five months of FY27.
