A man accused in the alleged gang-rape of a 17-year-old girl was arrested after he allegedly opened fire at Delhi Police personnel during an encounter in southeast Delhi. A bullet hit a head constable’s bullet-proof jacket without injuring him, while police firing hit the accused in the leg. Police are continuing efforts to trace the two other men allegedly involved in the crime.
