Irina Zverev was a professional tennis player for the Soviet Union before becoming a coach and helping develop her son Alexander Zverev. She reached No. 4 in the Soviet Union and was known for her one-handed backhand. After moving to Germany, she continued working in tennis and played an important role in Alexander’s development from a young age.
