Tony Mangan began his “World Jog” with the Dublin Marathon in October 2010, then continued running across a route that eventually covered five continents, six deserts and 41 countries. He crossed North and South America, Australia, Asia and Europe before returning to Ireland. Over four years, the journey stretched to roughly 50,000 km and 1,461 days. Mangan finally completed the expedition by running the Dublin Marathon again in October 2014, ending the journey in the same city where it had begun.
