In an ingenious recycling effort, discarded Christmas trees have found new life at Greers Ferry Lake as underwater habitats for fish. Approximately five hundred trees were bundled and submerged, providing essential shelter for young fish and promoting healthy fishing environments. This project, a collaboration between the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, cleverly repurposes holiday waste into a thriving resource for anglers.
