Philip Muspratt established the extraordinary Can House folk art site in Hartlepool, transforming his garden into a vibrant display filled with bottles and later an impressive array of beer cans. This heartfelt project aimed to uplift his father’s spirits while raising funds for a memorial dedicated to fallen soldiers. The captivating site drew numerous visitors and inspired a documentary. Sadly, Muspratt’s unique house was demolished following his passing in 2015.
