Joseph Mikulec was born in Croatia in 1878 and broke away from a life of farming to embark on extensive travels starting in 1901. Over his journey, he explored at least 33 countries, amassing a remarkable collection of around 60,000 autographs, featuring luminaries such as Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison.
