IIT Madras is expanding its approach to higher education by offering an alternative pathway through its BS in Data Science and Applications programme. Launched in 2020, the programme does not require JEE Advanced and has attracted learners from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, while retaining in-person assessments and academic performance-based progression.
