At 25, IIT Delhi biotechnology graduate Shaivee Malik is tackling India’s cold-chain challenge through Yotuh Energy, a Chennai-based climate-tech startup she co-founded with fellow engineers. Inspired by her experience with IIT Delhi’s Formula Student racing team, Malik helped develop battery-powered refrigeration systems that operate independently of truck engines. The technology aims to reduce diesel consumption, operating costs and emissions while keeping temperature-sensitive food products cold during transportation and stationary periods.
