A husband allegedly set his sleeping wife ablaze with petrol in Jaisalmer. The wife sustained severe burns and later died during treatment in Jodhpur. Police investigation revealed the couple slept outdoors and only their bedding caught fire. The husband’s family initially claimed she self-immolated to mislead authorities. Her family alleged dowry harassment and involvement of in-laws in the conspiracy.
