Himalayan songbird is changing its voice because of human activity, study finds: What researchers discovered

Researchers studied these birds in Uttarakhand’s quieter and noisier valleys to observe their vocal changes. The findings indicate that monals in noisy areas call at higher frequencies and extend their call duration. The ongoing increase in tourism and road expansion threatens the monal’s natural communication patterns, impacting their survival.
