Nikhil Paralikar, known as ‘The Tabla Guy’, chose music over a conventional engineering career after completing a BTech from VIT. After asking his family for one year to establish himself as a professional musician, he built a career blending tabla with electronic and contemporary music. With more than 2,500 performances and a 16-member musical collective, his journey recently drew praise from Anand Mahindra, who linked creative careers to changing opportunities in the age of AI.
