Karnataka’s new ‘Gramanubhava’ programme will take 2.15 lakh students from 931 urban schools and pre-university colleges to rural areas between September and December 2026. The two-day programme will provide hands-on exposure to farming, rural livelihoods, traditional crafts, environmental practices and post-harvest activities. Students will interact with farming communities, maintain learning journals and later undertake projects based on their experiences. The initiative, backed by a Rs 1,371.96 lakh budget, aims to strengthen understanding between urban and rural communities.
