A former sarpanch in Balotra district was allegedly honey-trapped and assaulted by a woman and accomplices. The accused demanded Rs 50 lakh and threatened to release an objectionable video. They also forcibly took cash and transferred money through PhonePe from his account. The former sarpanch was also threatened against contesting the upcoming sarpanch election. Police have registered a case and are actively investigating the serious allegations.
