A Cessna 441 aircraft crashed near a remote military runway in western Alaska. All eight people aboard perished when the plane attempted a second landing in dense fog. Visibility was extremely poor, forcing an initial landing attempt to be aborted by the pilots. The aircraft was operating for Anchorage-based Security Aviation when the accident occurred. Investigators are now examining the wreckage and the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
