Ashish Kumar Singh, a 29-year-old PhD scholar in Political Science from Lucknow, has been receiving support under the National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students since April 2024. The fellowship has helped him manage research expenses, accommodation and academic resources. He reports receiving Rs 44,400 per month in fellowship and HRA for 26 months, along with contingency support. After completing his doctorate, Singh hopes to become an Assistant Professor at a government institution or pursue UPPSC examinations.
