Former Wimbledon champion Angela Mortimer Barrett’s estate valued at over £676,000 passed to her husband. The celebrated tennis commentator and historian John Barrett received the entire inheritance after costs. Mortimer Barrett, who died aged 93, won three Grand Slam singles titles during her career. She achieved her greatest British success at Wimbledon in 1961. Both Angela and John Barrett were later inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
